Tailyn Communication Announces Agreement with Aperto Networks for the Manufacture of PacketMAX Base Stations

TAOYUAN, Taiwan; TUSTIN, California; and Milpitas, California, June 18th, 2007¡XTailyn Communication, a provider of Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing Services (AMES), announced today that it has entered into a manufacturing agreement with Aperto Networks for the production of Aperto¡¦s award-winning line of PacketMAXTM base stations.
"We chose to work with Tailyn based on its highly skilled work force and engineering expertise," said Glenn Tamaru, Vice President of Operations of Aperto Networks. "Their manufacturing flexibility and proven experience will help Aperto continue to develop the industry's most advanced WiMAX products and services."
Under the agreement, Tailyn will manufacture several of Aperto's base stations, including the PacketMAX 3000. The PacketMAX 3000 is a stackable, rack-mountable, single-sector platform for delivering WiMAX services. It can be co-located at a single site, providing an economical and modular multi-sector solution for less dense applications.
"Aperto Networks is a well respected leader in the WiMAX marketplace and has deployments in over 90 countries," added Mark Chen, Tailyn's President. "We are delighted to be working a company with such vision and worldwide presence."
"We have a long established history in serving wireline customers with our services, and this agreement with Aperto establishes us in the WiMAX arena," added Colin Boyd, Tailyn's Senior Vice President of Business Development. "WiMAX is clearly the wireless technology of the future."
